L’Okapi × Lumière Jazz Nights

What happens when you make music without fear of doing it “right”? In this workshop, Julia Warren invites you into a shared creative space rooted in curiosity, play, and embodied awareness.
Using Soundpainting — a live sign language for musical composition — combined with gentle somatic exercises, participants explore music-making as an ensemble while engaging with the body’s autonomic nervous system. The emphasis is not on performance or technique, but on listening, responding, and trusting what emerges in the moment.
This workshop is intentionally designed for music makers of all levels and backgrounds to participate together. Bring your own instrument(s), including your voice — anything that can make sound is welcome. Fearless Music Making offers a safe and playful environment to release performance pressure and reconnect with your musical intuition.
