Join us for an inspiring evening celebrating Iranian culture with L’Okapi role models award-winning choreographer Roshanak Morrowatian and composers Nader Adabnejad and Sheida Najafi as we explore the rich cultural roots that shape their artistic practice.
The night begins with a presentation by Iranian Composer & Event Producer Sheida Najafi, offering insights into the history and symbolism of the persian House of Strength tradition. This will be followed by an intimate Q&A with Roshanak, inviting reflection on the power of reimagining and revitalizing ancient rituals.
We’ll close the evening with a concert of composer Nader Adabnejad, featuring Mohammad Hossein Dehlari on Viola and Honey Kazerooni on Cello accompanied by the animations of Baran Sedighian. They will celebrate their Persian heritage through music and storytelling. Think traditional Iranian songs with gently melancholic lyrics and a nostalgic warmth.
